A 100 Word Story*

My own photo-taken from my garage

Venturing into the attic was the last thing Dave wanted to do that day, his mood bad from the get go. That changed to gratitude as soon as he climbed down from his perilous position, after narrowly escaping injury or death. This was the situation: he was locating the drop for the cable box and inadvertently stepped in the wrong spot, which sent him through the ceiling, almost, that is. Balancing on one hand and knee, he was able to pull himself to safety, where he lay and caught his breath. Prayers were uttered.
