I have been following a moderate Ketogenic diet for a couple of months now, I am curious what my labs will show when I have them drawn for my nephrologist in May. I had been following a Paleo diet for a few years, started “cheating” and gained some weight over the summer and holiday months. Enter Keto, I dropped 5 lbs the first week and then my weight stabilized. (I’m 4'9" and around 107lbs). Now that fruit is gone and dairy is in the picture, I’ve noticed some subtle changes like my ankles swelling a tiny bit, more gastric issues than I had before, even though I take a probiotic and a stool softener daily. I have PKD and my nephrologist has not been made aware of my diet changes yet, he is usually very supportive of the way I take care of myself. I also use essential oils and take vitamins and supplements.

PS: I eat plenty of salad, avocado, coconut oil, butter, and healthy low carb veggies, not just meat.
