Rough Day
Feeling uninspired as I sit before my screen,
No ideas are coming and editors being mean,
Surely y’all have felt the same way too
No money coming in and all the bills are due
Back to work in the real world is where I’m headed now
I must need a break from writing anyhow
Feeling sorry for myself although it’s unattractive
We all have rough days in this online interactive
I know rejections come with the territory, yet that’s all I seem to get
At least my blogs are fun and helpful, no one shuts me down
They don’t pay the bills though so I’ll just go back to town.
Back to steady paychecks and a boss that treats me kind
Cause if I sit here one more day I’m gonna lose my mind.
