What a great article and I believe that the same principle is true with any craft that takes time, effort and concentration. I’m doing the Diamond Art Paintings, and I love it! It’s like paint by number, but with jewels. I usually do it in the morning before I put my contact in ( I only wear one) because the symbols are so tiny. While I work, I may listen to an audiobook or watch an episode of whatever I’m following on Netflix or Hulu. Once I’m done, I carry on with my writing, chores, or part-time job, already feeling a sense of accomplishment. These can also be made as gifts or for my own walls. So I now know how my mom was so addicted to her needlepoint and why she was so sad when her hands didn’t work anymore, she missed it so much.
